Little Guy With A Big Situation
So Jed and I went to the ultrasound doctor this morning for the last ultrasound to check and make sure his heart and all that good stuff have developed normally. He is looking great weighing in at 1lb. 5oz. The technician asked me if I wanted her to confirm that he is still in fact a boy, so I said sure... She freezes this picture up on the big tv screen and says, "You tell me".
I have never seen such a big willie on an ultrasound picture before. Maybe it's just the perfect view he gave us or I'm beginning to think he was pretty "excited" for us to see him again. I have no idea, but all I know is Chris is one proud Daddy right about now. :)

24 weeks!
Many of my friends have been NAGGING me about putting up more belly pictures lately. So I thought I'd take advantage of today, being Chris' Great Grandma's birthday party, to take a pic of me and Baby Cruz-in-utero.
Every other day I look like a grouchy pregnant lady, even though this woman came up to me yesterday in Payless while I was DRIPPING sweat trying on a gazillion different shoes that don't fit my ever-growing Duff-feet (apparently, my belly isn't the only thing growing these days).... and she tells me, "Honey, you're so beautiful. You are just glowing!" I smiled and said, "Aww thanks", but what I really felt like saying was, "See this shoe that my fat foot is squeezed into right now??? Huh, see it? It's going up your rear in two seconds 'cause I'm NOT glowing, I'm sweating like a fat disgusting pig. Have a nice day." But she was a sweet lady, which is what I realized once I got into my air conditioned car.
This is my pregnant rant of the day. Hope you enjoyed.

Little Big Man, Jedidiah
Jed is sooo full of energy everyday. He is quite hard to keep up with especially when you have to pee every 5 minutes and can't run and chase after him like you used to...
Some new things he is doing these days:
* He is 2 years and 3 months old now, and has been potty trained for almost 7 months now.
*He loves being outside "working" with Daddy on his machines
*He loves brushing his teeth
*Favorite movie is Lion King and The Chronicles of Narnia (a.k.a. The Lion Movie)
*He roars like "Simba" and when he gets carried away bites and scratches like a real lion. We're trying to teach him that he really isn't a lion, and can only pretend to bite and scratch. :)
*He has perfected counting to ten, and is working on counting to fifteen.
*He loves sleeping in bed with us! He's been in there with us for like 6 months now, and I am not looking forward to the transition back into his own room. Which may be happening very soon.
*He loves to kiss his mommy and pretend like he is Daddy. He says, "Gimme a kiss, gotta go to work".
*He's so funny.
* He tries to feed his baby brother cheerios through my belly button. Wish I got it on video.
Just a few updates on him... Enjoy the video.

We are having ANOTHER Boy!!!
So we found out on February 9th that I am officially going to be out-numbered in this family. This baby will be the 13th straight boy in a row over three generations for the Latham side of the family. Maybe someday we may have a baby girl, but I'm not counting on it. We are naming this baby....
CRUZ ALEXANDER LATHAM
In case you're wondering, I came across the name Cruz online and found out that it means "The Cross of Christ" in Spanish, and then we chose Alexander for the middle name after Chris' grandpa who passed away in September of 2009. We are so excited to welcome this beautiful boy into our family and are anxious to see what kind of a big brother Jedidiah will make. I am now 22 weeks pregnant and can feel him moving and getting stronger everyday. :)
I Think I Can, I Think I Can....
I would like to be more consistent with this blog, but I'm kinda blog-tarded at this point. So I promise to try and do better. :)
